Historical Research:
The Bulletin of the Institute of Historical Research

Published since 1923, Historical Research is a leading British historical journal which publishes the work of established historians and also aims to encourage and assist young historians with the publication of their first research articles. It appears four times a year, in February, May, August and November. Historical Research publishes: an annual thematic special issue in June containing papers given at the Anglo-American Conference of Historians; articles which explore and examine new sources, questioning received ideas in the light of fresh evidence; a Notes and Documents section, in each issue, which carries up-to-date reports on the leading edge of original research.
